Harvesting and storage of raw materials
Harvesting. The fruits are harvested in the period of full maturity (in September - October), carefully cutting off or cutting off the brush with a knife or scissors. The seeds are obtained after squeezing the fresh fruit juice, the seeds are freed from pulp (pulp) by washing with water.

Drying. The fruits are round, often deformed, large-wrinkled, single (5-9 mm in diameter) or stuck together several. In the flesh of the fruit are 1-2 brilliant, rounded-reniform, yellowish-brown or light brown seeds.

The surface is smooth, shiny, yellowish-brown colour. The seeds consist of hard, brittle peel and a dense core, which may be absent in underdeveloped seeds. The peel breaks easily and easily lags behind the core. The horseshoe-shaped nucleus, waxy yellow, one end tapered pointed, the other rounded. On the convex side of the nucleus of the seed passes a light brown groove. The bulk of the seed core is the endosperm. At the pointed end of the apex (in the endosperm) lies a small embryo visible under a magnifying glass.
The smell when rubbed strong and specific. The taste is spicy and bitter-hot.
